Medical Collections Representative

Job Description Our medical client is seeking an experienced Billing and Collections Specialist to support the financial success of the facility through accurate and efficient revenue cycle management. This role plays a vital part in billing, claims processing, reimbursement, and patient financial communication. The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare business office knowledge and thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Ensure accurate and timely billing of facility claims across all payer types and admission sources. Audit claims for correct coding, documentation, and authorization prior to submission. Complete all required claim edits and submit clean claims to the clearinghouse. Monitor daily clearinghouse activity, claim holds, and payer websites for updates. Interpret payer contracts to confirm reimbursement aligns with contracted rates. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of healthcare/medical experience (billing and collections). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work professionally with patients, payers, and internal departments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, patient accounting systems, and basic math.
