Chief of Development

The client is seeking a Chief of Development to support the long-term sustainability and impact of its mission-focused organization and related affiliate. The Chief of Development will serve as a key member of the Executive Team and report to the Managing Director, collaborating closely with senior leadership across development, finance and operations, communications, and related functions to lead an overarching, global, diversified revenue strategy. Key responsibilities include stewardship of existing revenue streams, identification of new potential sources of support, and development of integrated, data-informed systems to target, engage, and convert diverse funders. Working in close collaboration with communications and marketing leadership, the Chief of Development will help ensure strong strategic positioning across important markets and cultivate an organizational identity that resonates with a broad, increasingly diversified portfolio of financial supporters. The role will also involve fostering and overseeing high-level relationships with philanthropic leaders, institutional funders, and other key stakeholders to grow global resources and influence. The Chief of Development will be an active people manager, providing mentorship, direction, and leadership to the development team while supporting the continued evolution and professionalization of the function, with the overarching goal of advancing fundraising results, diversifying revenue, strengthening sustainability, and enhancing market presence.
