Human Resources InternThe Human Resources Intern will work primarily with YAI's Volunteer & Internship program serving as a representative of YAI within the community, leading the charge in recruiting and onboarding. The Human Resources Intern will also support the HR department on various projects, including but not limited to university engagement and employee recruitment efforts.As a face of YAI in the community, you will communicate our mission, vision, and opportunities throughout the regions that YAI serves. You will assist with recruiting, screening, and onboarding prospective volunteers and interns and support them once they have been onboarded. The Human Resources Intern will be responsible for accurate volunteer and intern record tracking and data management through Salesforce and Workday. Strong organizational skills are required for this position in order to ensure that all required clearances are completed by incoming volunteers and interns according to state regulations. In addition to supporting the Volunteer & Internship Department, you will also support other teams in YAI's HR Department by taking on additional meaningful day-to-day tasks and special projects.Desired Qualifications:Currently enrolled in a college, university, or certificate program*Undergraduate or graduate-level student preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsProfessional phone and email communication skillsHave an entrepreneurial spirit and are willing to take initiativeAbility to work autonomously and complete projects independently, collaboratively, and cross-departmentallyAbility to multitask and prioritize project deadlinesA high level of comfort with Microsoft Office 365Able to quickly learn technology CRM systems like Salesforce and WorkdayInterest in exploring the non-profit sectorPassion for helping others and an interest in intellectual and developmental disabilitiesAdditional duties as assignedThis is an unpaid internship opportunity that is only open to current students.
