Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy technician position is available under a 13-week+ contract, offering opportunities at multiple inpatient hospital sites. The role requires specialized skills to support safe and effective medication distribution in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Locations:

• Gary, IN
• Merrillville, IN

Shifts:

• Days: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Evenings: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM or 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
• Rotating schedule every other weekend

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense sterile and non-sterile medications accurately under the supervision of pharmacists
• Manage medication inventory and stock automated dispensing cabinets effectively
• Assist with inpatient medication distribution ensuring compliance with hospital protocols
• Collaborate with pharmacy and clinical staff to maintain workflow and patient safety
• Perform other pharmacy technician duties as assigned within the hospital setting

Qualifications:

• Active Indiana pharmacy technician license required
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience essential
• Sterile compounding proficiency is strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work with automated dispensing cabinets
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
