In this role, you will be responsible for providing essential therapeutic support to children and families, particularly those dealing with developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions remotely, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to assist clients in overcoming mental health challenges.

• Facilitate in-home therapy sessions that focus on addressing high-risk behaviors, such as self-injury or aggression, by teaching anger management, coping skills, and social skills.
\n
• Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team to create and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each child’s and family's unique needs.
\n
• Document and submit all necessary clinical paperwork, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, in a timely manner.
\n
• Participate actively in team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and recommend strategies to improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position is on children and adolescents aged 3-20 who experience developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on their lives by providing in-depth therapy and support to both the youths and their caregivers, empowering families to manage behavioral concerns and enhance their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active, unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Tennessee is essential.
\n
• Ability to commit to a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, with sessions typically occurring during after-school hours between 4 PM and 7 PM, plus availability on weekends deemed a plus.

• Possession of a valid driver's license and a registered vehicle to travel to client locations as necessary.
\n
• Completion of a background check, including fingerprinting, is required prior to employment.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavioral support to children and adolescents.

• Familiarity working with clients with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD).
\n
• Prior experience in community mental health or a similar service-oriented role.

• Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese skills are a plus, enhancing our ability to serve a diverse client base.
