Are you ready to step out of direct patient care? We are looking for a CNA to join our team as an Admissions Coordinator. In this role, you will represent our facility in the community, making professionalism, communication, and positive representation of the facility essential. Empathy toward residents and their families, along with excellent customer service skills, is required.

Hours:

8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.;

No Holidays or Weekends Salary:

$18.00-$20.00/hr

Job Summary: The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the resident admission process in accordance with facility policies and procedures. This position obtains required admission information, supports residents and families throughout the admission process, maintains accurate records, and works closely with nursing, business office, social services, and other departments to ensure an efficient and positive admission experience.

Key Responsibilities: · Obtain required information and signatures for resident admissions. · Provide residents and families with admission information, including resident rights, privacy practices, · Assist with interviewing residents, guardians, and sponsors and obtaining required admission information. · Coordinate and complete admissions, transfers, and discharges in accordance with established policies and procedures. · Maintain accurate records of available beds, resident census, room assignments, waiting lists, and admission/discharge activity. · contracts, billing procedures, room rates, and other required information. · Review and explain admission-related information to residents and/or guardians and answer questions or refer concerns to the appropriate department. · Collect, assemble, and verify admission paperwork and forward completed documentation to the appropriate departments. · Maintain confidentiality of resident information and protected health information in accordance with facility policies and HIPAA requirements. · Work collaboratively with nursing, business office, social services, MDS, and other departments to support a smooth admission process. · Maintain a professional and welcoming relationship with residents, families, referral sources, community members, and facility staff. · Represent the facility positively in the community through professional communication, customer service, and actions that support the facility's reputation. · Assist with marketing and community outreach activities related to admissions and census development, as directed. · Prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. · Use computer systems and electronic records efficiently to complete required documentation and communication. · Keep abreast of applicable Medicare/Medicaid regulations and admission/discharge requirements. · Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet the needs of the facility.

Education Requirements · Must be a Georgia Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing. · High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications: · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Excellent computer skills and ability to learn and use facility software and electronic systems. · Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. · Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. · Demonstrates empathy, patience, and professionalism when working with residents and families. · Ability to represent the facility positively and professionally in the community. · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. · Previous long-term care, admissions, healthcare, customer service, or marketing experience preferred. · Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect resident information . Work Conditions: · Work is typically performed in a skilled nursing facility setting, with frequent interaction with residents, families, staff, referral sources, and community members. · May require occasional evening or weekend hours based on facility needs, admissions, community outreach, or special events. · Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for infection control purposes. · Must be able to maintain a professional appearance and conduct while representing the facility.

Tasks assigned to this position may involve potential and/or direct exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious diseases, air contaminants, and hazardous chemicals.
