Position Overview

The Member Service Representative is the first point of contact for members, delivering exceptional service via phone, email, and chat. This role supports members with plan coverage, eligibility, attorney connections, and digital tools—all while maintaining professionalism and empathy in a fast-paced environment.

High-volume environment: 50–60 interactions daily

Assignment Details

• Manager: Ruben Santiago
• Contract Length: 6–12 months
• Conversion: Potential exists but not guaranteed
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week (no weekends)

Training & Ramp-Up

• 3.5 weeks onsite training (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Followed by 4 additional weeks fully onsite for performance evaluation

Hybrid Transition (Based on Performance)

• 2 days onsite (Tues/Wed typically, may vary)
• 3 days work from home

WFH Requirements:

• Dedicated, quiet workspace
• Internet speed 150 Mbps minimum
• Company equipment setup (laptop, monitor, headset, keyboard)

Failure to meet performance or technical requirements may result in loss of WFH privileges

Schedule Options (Post-Training)

Shift assigned based on seniority (last digit of SSN):

• 7:55 AM – 4:25 PM
• 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• 11:35 AM – 8:05 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls, chats, and emails
• Assist with legal plan usage, coverage, and eligibility
• Provide attorney referrals and coordinate consultations
• Support digital estate planning tools and website navigation
• Process enrollments, cancellations, and updates
• Document all interactions in CRM/ticketing system
• Follow up on inquiries within 24–48 hours
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues

Top Skills We’re Seeking

• 2–5+ years of customer service experience
• Emotional resilience & de-escalation skills
• Ability to manage high-volume call environments
• Strong judgment and adaptability
• Critical thinking and problem-solving
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multitask across multiple systems

Technical & Education Requirements

• Experience with CRM systems (Zendesk preferred)
• Familiarity with Cisco or similar contact center systems
• Proficiency in Teams, Outlook, and computer navigation

Education:

• Bachelor’s preferred
• Associate degree or some college + 5+ years relevant experience accepted

Highly Preferred

• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
• Experience in legal, healthcare, hospitality, or call center environments

Assessments Required

• Call Center Data Entry (Audio)
• Call Center Listening Skills (Audio)
• Basic Computer Literacy (Windows 10)
