This role requires advanced technical knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards. This position plays a key role in training team members, coordinating site activities, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements./ph3Essential Duties and Responsibilities/h3ulliServe as the lead technician on site, directing daily crew operations, and ensuring adherence to scope, and safety and quality standards/liliClimb and perform work on communication towers and elevated structures up to 500 feet/liliPerform and oversee the installation, alignment, and troubleshooting of antennas, radios, hybrid cables, connectors, and mounts/liliInterpret and ensure execution of construction drawings, site plans, and RF specifications/liliPerform advanced testing and troubleshooting, including sweep testing, PIM testing, and fiber/connector inspections/liliConduct quality assurance checks and ensure all work is completed according to customer and Company standards/liliMaintain and inspect rigging, hoisting, and climbing equipment to ensure proper use and safety/liliModel safe behavior on-site and ensure crew participation in all safety protocols, meetings, and briefings/liliComplete required documentation accurately, including daily reports, quality checklists, and site photos/liliMaintain and organize tools, equipment, and vehicles/liliMaintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring all tools, materials, and waste are properly handled and disposed of/liliAssist the foreman in training, mentoring, and supporting less experienced team members in both technical skills and safety practices/liliTravel regularly to job sites, which may include overnight stays/liliOther duties as assigned/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3pTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required./ph3Education/h3pHigh school diploma, general education degree (G.E.D.), or related trade school education/ph3Experience/h3ulliThree to five years of progressive experience in wireless tower construction, maintenance, or field services/liliExperience overseeing crews and supporting field operations/liliProven ability to complete complex tower work independently and guide others/liliCompetent Climber/Rescue Certification from an accredited institution/liliMust have or obtain and maintain OSHA 30 Construction Training Card/liliMust have or obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR Certification/liliMust have or obtain and maintain Competent Rigging and Hoisting Certification/liliOther relevant certifications may be required per the scope of work being performed (i.e. NWSA Certification, Hazcom Certification, Blood Born Pathogen Certification, RF Safety Certification etc.)/li/ulh3Technical Skills/h3ulliComputer and Microsoft Office proficiency/liliAdvanced knowledge of wireless communication infrastructure and equipment/liliProficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and RF engineering documents/liliSkilled in sweep, fiber, and PIM testing, troubleshooting, and system optimization/liliProficient in the use of hand and power tools/liliCompetence with GPS, test equipment, and site audit tools/li/ulh3Soft Skills/h3ulliStrong leadership and decision-making skills/liliFollows safety protocols and installation procedures with accuracy and care, and requires others to do the same/liliExcellent communication and interpersonal skills/liliWorks effectively with crew members and foreman; supports a positive and collaborative work environment/liliAbility to manage time and resources efficiently/liliAbility to think analytically and solve complex problems/liliMaintains awareness of surroundings and safety risks while working at heights and with heavy equipment/liliEncourages continuous improvement and identifies areas for process enhancement/li/ulh3Physical Requirements/h3ulliMust be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing/liliMust have a valid drivers license and a driving record that meets Company requirements/liliAbility to climb vertically and pull ones own body weight, along with necessary tools and equipment, up to 500 feet, and perform work at heights on towers and other elevated structures for extended periods/liliAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds regularly/liliAbility to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and grasp materials and tools with both hands/liliAbility to work long hours in outdoor environments, including extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, wind, or snow/liliAbility to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods of time/liliAbility to wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE), including fall protection harness, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves/liliAbility to climb and work at heights while wearing a safety harness, maintaining a total combined weight (which includes body weight, clothing, equipment, and tools) between 130 pounds and 310 pounds in accordance with industry fall protection standards/liliMust be physically and mentally fit to perform tower rescues and participate in safety drills and training exercises/liliComfortable working in confined spaces and at varying elevations/liliAbility to work long and unpredictable hours/liliAbility to travel away from home up to 75% of the time, including weekends and extended travel.
