Job Description Job#: 3056433 IT Support Specialist (Contractor) Location San Francisco Contract length 6 months rolling Overview We are currently seeking an IT Support Specialist (Contractor) for our client’s IT Team. This position is an in‑office flex role supporting the San Francisco office, along with remote support. This role will be responsible for providing exceptional IT support to employees across the organization and office environment. About The Team The IT Operations and Services team consists of IT Support, IT AV, IT Logistics, and IT Executive Support. Together, the team ensures that the support experience across our client is maintained at the highest level. This includes providing a great user experience through employee‑facing IT support, ensuring computers and equipment get to the right place at the right time, and maintaining accurate inventory to support a growing user base. About The Job Provide IT support to our client’s employees through in‑office and remote support via the ticketing system Serve as a point of contact for IT Support while collaborating with the AV, IT Engineering, and Workplace teams Assist with onboarding new hires, including hardware deployment, equipment setup, and administration of the SaaS application portfolio through the SSO tool Coordinate with the IT Logistics team to maintain accurate in‑office inventory Provide support for key software platforms, including Gmail, Slack, Okta, and Zoom Troubleshoot and support macOS, ChromeOS, and Windows Become familiar with all aspects of the IT environment to help support, maintain, and scale it Assist in keeping the knowledge base and documentation up to date Preferred Qualifications 2–3 years of experience with help desk support and customer service Strong understanding of macOS, Windows, and ChromeOS operating systems Good understanding of AV systems, including Zoom and Google Hangouts Friendly, service‑oriented personality with an interest in teaching and helping others Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of people and personalities Minimum Qualifications At least 2 years of experience with help desk support and customer service Familiarity with macOS, Windows, and ChromeOS operating systems Resourceful approach to problem‑solving and independently researching unfamiliar issues Passion for technology and delivering excellent customer service Everforth Apex is a world‑class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
