Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the intensity and frequency of mood disorders in clients, ensuring that you gather accurate information to guide treatment.

• Develop personalized treatment plans collaboratively with clients, integrating their goals and preferences to foster a sense of ownership in their therapeutic journey.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address clients’ mood disorder symptoms.

• Educate clients and families about their diagnoses, treatment options, and self-care strategies, empowering them with knowledge and coping skills.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress, making timely adjustments to treatment plans in response to evolving needs and challenges.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated client care.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through case consultations and team meetings, staying abreast of the latest research and therapeutic techniques in mood disorder treatment.

• Ensure meticulous maintenance of client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards to protect patient confidentiality.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily be working with clients suffering from diverse mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our clientele also includes individuals from various backgrounds, including the homeless, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse, offering you an opportunity to support some of the most vulnerable members of society.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state-issued license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field.
