Senior Technical Specialist - PBI CTR

Role Description

The Power BI Consultant will be responsible for:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards.
• Developing efficient data models using star and snowflake schemas.
• Creating complex calculations, KPIs, and business metrics using DAX.
• Implementing row-level security (RLS) and data governance best practices.
• Optimizing report performance and managing Power BI datasets and workspaces.
• Publishing, scheduling, and maintaining reports in Power BI Service.
• Developing, modifying, and supporting operational and analytical reports using SSRS.
• Building paginated reports and pixel-perfect reporting solutions.
• Maintaining existing SSRS report catalog and subscriptions.
• Troubleshooting report performance and data retrieval issues.
• Supporting migration of legacy SSRS reports to Power BI where applicable.

Qualifications

• 4–8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Reporting Solutions.
• Strong experience in Microsoft Power BI development.
• Expertise in DAX, Power Query (M Language), and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
• Advanced SQL development skills on SQL Server.
• Experience with Power BI Service, Gateways, Workspaces, and Deployment Pipelines.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Knowledge of report performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Experience working with large datasets and complex reporting environments.

Requirements

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, or Databricks.
• Knowledge of SSIS and SSAS.
• Experience with Paginated Reports in Power BI.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to REST APIs and data integration techniques.

Nice-to-Have Experience

• SSRS to Power BI migration projects.
• Financial, Sales, Operations, or Supply Chain reporting.
• Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Enterprise BI governance and security frameworks.
