Senior Oracle APEX Architect / Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle APEX Developer to design, develop and maintain low-code web applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle databases, PL/SQL programming, and APEX application development, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy scalable applications using Oracle APEX.
• Develop interactive reports, forms, dashboards, charts, and UI components.
• Integrate APEX applications with external APIs and third-party systems.
• Optimize application performance, security, and user experience.

• Write and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Design and maintain relational database structures (tables, views, indexes, constraints).
• Perform data modeling, data migration, and ETL processes.

• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, performance bottlenecks, and bugs.
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Maintain documentation including technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and user guides.

• Implement APEX security features (authentication, authorization, session state protection).
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years hands-on experience with Oracle APEX (version 19.x or higher preferred).
• Strong expertise in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and database concepts.
• Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery for UI customizations.
• Familiarity with RESTful Web Services (Oracle ORDS).
• Understanding of APEX security, roles, and access control.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Oracle Cloud (OCI) or Autonomous Database.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and DevOps pipelines.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Exposure to BI tools or data visualization frameworks.
