Front of House Event Manager - Full-time - On-site

We are seeking a Front of House Event Manager to join our team. The Front of House Event Manager oversees all Front of House operations during performances and events across the Kravis Center’s four venues: Dreyfoos Hall, Rinker Playhouse, Persson Hall, and the Cohen Ballroom. This role ensures an exceptional patron experience by managing guest services, coordinating staff, ensuring the comfort and safety of guests, and addressing real-time challenges during events. The Event Manager also serves as the primary point of contact for patrons, staff, and volunteers, ensuring seamless event execution while upholding the Kravis Center’s world-class standards. Coordinates all Front of House activities for performances and events. Assists in recruiting, training, and supervising volunteer ushers, ticket takers and lobby customer service personnel (Guest Services Representatives). Prepares regular Front of House reports and maintains statistical data. Ensures the comfort and safety of guests while maintaining compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards and best practices. Must be able to remain calm and take appropriate action in emergency situations, including following established safety protocols. Should be comfortable responding to a variety of incidents that may arise. Supervises concession sales in public spaces, including the collection and documentation of related funds. Oversees large-scale events and established intermission procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Experience: Two or more years’ experience in a multi-venue performing arts facility and/or in the hospitality industry at the supervisory level preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. A positive and collaborative mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage events in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proficiency in Office 365 (SharePoint, Excel, Word, Teams). Maintain a professional appearance in both demeanor and attire. Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by the Kravis Center’s event schedule. Physical Demand/Work Environment: This position is a full-time, on-site role and requires the ability to lift or move items weighing up to 30 lbs. Duties may involve navigating stairs, crouching, reaching, climbing, kneeling, stooping, and sitting for various durations; require frequent and prolonged periods of standing on marble floors; must be able to read small print in low-light conditions and respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations; require sufficient visual ability to observe surroundings and maintain situational awareness. Auditory acuity is also essential to effectively hear and respond to verbal communication, alarms, and other auditory signals, particularly in potentially noisy or crowded environments.
