IT Support Engineer

Job Description: Client is seeking an IT Support Engineer to be the on-site point of contact for technology across our New York office. You'll support around fifty people across two floors, in person, five days a week. The work is hands-on and personal, and much of it is helping senior people get back to what they were doing, quickly and without fuss. This is a contract role with the possibility of extending. You'll work closely with the Director of Infrastructure as we modernize how the firm runs its technology, so there's real room to learn and to shape how support works here. Key Responsibilities Day-to-Day Support On-Site Support – Be the first point of contact for hardware, software, and account issues, starting at 8:30 each morning. Endpoints – Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot laptops, mostly Windows, with a smaller number of Macs. Accounts & Access – Help people with accounts, access, and the everyday tools they rely on. Executive Support White-Glove Service – Give senior staff calm, attentive help, often under time pressure. Anticipation – Notice small problems before they turn into interruptions. Meeting Rooms Audio & Video – Keep conference room AV working, and step in when a meeting depends on it. Process & Improvement Ticketing – Track requests in our ticketing system and keep good notes so problems get fixed once. Root Cause – Flag recurring issues so we can solve them at the source.
