Highly regarded boutique litigation firm in downtown Minneapolis that is looking to add a Business Litigation Associate Attorney to its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 2–6 years of complex civil and/or commercial litigation experience who wants meaningful responsibility, sophisticated work, and the chance to work closely with experienced litigators.The firm handles challenging disputes involving businesses, individuals, and organizations across a range of industries. Associates are given the opportunity to be actively involved in cases from the early stages of a dispute through resolution and trial.Position Responsibilities:Conduct detailed legal research and apply applicable law to complex factual and legal issuesDraft substantive pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, discovery-related documents, and other court filingsHandle written discovery, including developing discovery strategies and addressing contested discovery issuesAssist with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparationTake and defend depositions commensurate with experiencePrepare clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trialParticipate in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and other proceedingsWork closely with partners and other attorneys to evaluate cases and develop litigation strategy
