Senior Director Supply Chain

Chief Business Officer (CBO) / Executive Leadership Role Summary The Senior Director, Supply Chain leads the development, integration, and execution of enterprise-wide supply chain strategy across planning, procurement, inventory, capacity, supply continuity, and related systems and processes. This role is accountable for building and operating an integrated supply chain that supports customer requirements, business growth, operational performance, and working-capital objectives across multiple manufacturing locations. The position provides enterprise leadership across demand and supply planning, S&OP/SIOP, inventory optimization, capacity planning, supply chain systems, and process transformation. The Senior Director establishes metrics, governance, and operating rhythms that enable proactive decision-making and balance customer service, cost, inventory, capacity, and supply risk. Advanced degree and/or recognized supply chain certification preferred. Experience Progressive leadership experience across supply chain planning, procurement, inventory, capacity, and operations in a multi-site manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience leading S&OP/SIOP or other integrated business planning processes and resolving cross-functional supply and demand constraints. Experience establishing enterprise inventory strategy, working-capital improvement plans, and supply continuity risk mitigation. Experience serving as a business leader for ERP/MRP implementation, transformation, or major supply chain process redesign. Proven ability to translate business growth and customer requirements into long-range supply chain capabilities, priorities, and organizational roadmaps. Experience leading leaders, developing talent, and establishing clear functional accountability and performance expectations. Technical Skills Advanced proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and integrated planning, purchasing, inventory, and production-order processes. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis/reporting tools. Working knowledge of supply chain master data, system governance, and process controls. Ability to leverage dashboards and analytics to support decision-making. Leadership & Communication Executive-level written, verbal, and presentation skills. Strong cross-functional leadership and influencing capabilities. Ability to lead high-impact escalations, facilitate decisions, and establish accountability across multiple functions and locations. Proven ability to collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Executive Leadership teams. Key Responsibilities Enterprise Supply Chain Strategy Develop and execute enterprise supply chain strategy aligned with business growth, customer requirements, and operational objectives. Establish operating models across planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing, and manufacturing interfaces. Balance customer service, inventory, cost, capacity, and supply risk when making enterprise decisions. Develop multi-year supply chain capability and organizational roadmaps. S&OP / Integrated Planning Own the development, implementation, and maturity of the company’s S&OP/SIOP process. Integrate demand, supply, inventory, and capacity planning into a unified enterprise planning process. Establish planning governance, decision points, and escalation procedures. Partner cross-functionally to resolve supply and demand imbalances and improve forecast accuracy. Supply & Capacity Planning Lead enterprise supply planning and capacity strategy across manufacturing locations. Identify manufacturing, supplier, and material constraints and drive cross-functional resolution. Develop scenario-planning capabilities to support changing demand and capacity requirements. Recommend executive-level decisions regarding capacity, inventory, and sourcing strategies. Inventory & Working Capital Establish enterprise inventory strategy, policies, targets, and governance. Lead inventory health and working-capital improvement initiatives. Drive reduction of excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory through cross-functional accountability. Supply Chain Systems & MRP Transformation Serve as executive business owner for supply chain-related MRP implementations and transformations. Define future-state supply chain processes and ensure system integration across planning, purchasing, inventory, and production. Establish master-data governance and drive process automation and adoption. Lead organizational change management and system implementation efforts. Establish enterprise supply-risk governance and mitigation strategies. Identify critical supplier, material, and capacity risks. Lead major supply chain escalations impacting customer service or manufacturing continuity. Leadership, Governance & Performance Lead supply chain directors and functional leaders. Develop succession plans and organizational capabilities. Establish KPIs, dashboards, and business review processes. Provide executive reporting on service, inventory, cost, capacity, risk, and transformation initiatives.
