Make a meaningful impact as a dedicated School Social Worker in a vibrant school setting near Davison, MI. This contract opportunity extends through June 2027 and offers the chance to support students in their academic and social-emotional growth. Candidates play a vital role working directly with students—mainly at the elementary level, with possible openings for Middle or High School caseloads, based on your skills and preferences.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university
- Fully licensed Social Worker or MSW with a Limited License
- One of the following Michigan certifications: Preliminary School Social Worker Certificate (PSSWC), Professional School Social Worker Certificate (PSWC), or School Social Worker Permit (SSWP)
- Active LARA license
- MDE School Social Worker Approval
- Official University Transcripts
- Experience in school settings and familiarity with intervention strategies for special education students
- Preference for onsite presence; exceptional, experienced candidates may be considered for virtual support
- Ability to indicate preferred grade level (Elementary, Middle, or High School)
Role Responsibilities:
- Implement intervention strategies for special education students individually or in small groups
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create optimal support systems
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere helping students thrive socially and emotionally
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on student plans
This is a contract, full-time position with 35 hours per week during the school year, offering the opportunity to make an immediate difference in a supportive community.
