Oversees delivery teams, fleet operations, routing, and performance management while driving operational excellence and compliance with internal policies, safety standards, and Department of Transportation regulations.**Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities*** Leads delivery operations, including route planning, dispatching, and daily performance monitoring.* Manages staffing, labor planning, and KPI tracking to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery operations.* Oversees fleet maintenance, vehicle inspections, asset management, and compliance with safety and regulatory vehicle inspection requirements.* Develops and coaches delivery teams through training, ride-alongs, and performance management.* Monitors driver safety programs, incident reviews, and compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.* Resolves operational issues, process exceptions, and customer delivery concerns.* Supports project initiatives, including capacity management, market optimization, and system troubleshooting.* Communicates performance feedback, engagement actions, and recognition programs to drivers and leadership.**Nature and Scope*** Solutions require analysis and investigation.* Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.* Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.**Work Environment*** Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.* Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.* Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.**Education and Experience*** Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification.
