Job Title: CNC Machinist Job Description

Join a dynamic job shop specializing in custom steel and cast iron fabrication, where you will be responsible for handling CNC machines, lathes, milling, waterjet, and plasma cutting. This position involves producing precision parts through operations ranging from 50-piece to 1000-piece runs.

• Set up, program, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts from various materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and plastics.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications to ensure accurate production.
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify tight tolerances.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds, and make program adjustments or basic G-code edits as needed.

• Proficiency with CNC machines, including setup and operation.
• Experience with Fanuc controls.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Capability to perform quality control inspections using precision measuring instruments.

• 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
• Experience with drill press and manual machine operation.

Work in a family-owned and operated machine shop established in 1978. The shop employs 20 people and operates in a friendly, collaborative atmosphere. Dress code includes blue jeans, t-shirt, and steel-toe boots. The position is 1st shift, Monday through Friday, starting at 6am with shifts consisting of 10 hours Monday through Thursday and 8 hours on Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Bethel, PA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
