Reports to: Supervisor of designated department FLSA Status: NON-EXEMPT Schedule: Monday through Thursday (5:00am - 3:30pm); extended hours may be required to support business needs Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
- Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
- Read prints, layouts, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
- Measure or Faro product dimensions examine functionality and compare the final product to specifications.
- Calibrate Faro machines and all other tooling in all facilities and communicate any external processes/calibration dates with Quality manager.
- Calibrate all internal and external weld, drill, and recut fixtures prior to being used within production.
- Notify Quality Manager with any modifications needed on route sheets or any other documentation.
- Perform clean tests at the Clean Lab.
- Assist Production with any difficult parts or assemblies that need a Faro report generated.
- Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
- Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
- High School diploma or equivalent field.
- Certification in quality is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills
- Commitment to safety
- Commitment and supportive of ISO 9001:2015 Standard and Certification, and IATF 16949.
- Ability to provide feedback both orally and in writing
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good math and technical skills.
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
