Kansas City: Learning Center Assistant

Position Summary: This employment opportunity is a part-time position of dedication, service, caring, and compassion for helping at-risk youth in our Kansas City HALO Center through program planning and youth relationship building. This position consists of afternoon and evening, Monday through Friday, 20 hours per week.Primary Responsibilities:Coordinate with HALO Center Program Manager to transport HALO youth to and from Center programsCollaborate with Center Facilitator and volunteer teams to plan and facilitate HALO Art & Life Skill lesson plans to youth residing in partnering shelters and within HALO CenterCoordinating meal donations to accompany programs, creating a welcoming environment for meal volunteers and youth participants at all timesTrack youth participation and retention in the Center to support program outcomes via ApricotOrganize donations and lead thank you process for HALO Center Pantry and Power Pack suppliesAssist with special events and projects as necessaryEducation and Experience:Must be passionate about helping youth in need and have previous experience working with at-risk populations is preferred.High school degree or equivalent with at least 1 year experience in a professional settingMust exhibit strong organizational and communication skills.
