The PA treats both acute and chronic problems. The scope of problems encountered by the PA is the same as those dealt with by the supervising physicians in the practices. Requirements Education Certification/degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Experience/Skill Sets Two years of PA experience in a primary care practice, or a relevant specialty practice preferred. Licensure/Certification(s) Current licensure as a PA-C by the State of Vermont. Certifications as an adult or family Physician Assistant by a national organization, which is recognized by the Vermont State Board of Medical Practice. Qualified to be credentialed by the BMH Medical Staff. Healthcare Provider CPR certification. DEA license. OSHA Category OSHA Category I - Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues require use of techniques of Universal Precautions as evidenced with blood borne pathogens standards Physical Demands On-the-job time is spent in the following physical activities. Standing Walking Sitting Talking or Hearing This position requires that weight be lifted or force be exerted. Up to 30 pounds This position has vision requirements. The listed range represents the pay scale reasonably expected for a successful candidate based on factors such as relevant experience, education, internal equity, and market competitiveness.
