Corporate Counsel – Renewables/Energy Infrastructure

An established energy infrastructure company with a growing renewables and storage portfolio is seeking a Corporate Counsel to support its project development, operations, and commercial activities. With a strong track record across utility-scale solar, wind, and storage, the company operates at the forefront of the energy transition combining innovation, scale, and commercial discipline.

Reporting into senior legal leadership, the role offers exposure across the full asset lifecycle and a chance to help shape legal strategy in a dynamic, cross functional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with development teams on interconnection, permitting, and regulatory issues
• Draft and negotiate construction, procurement, and service agreements
• Support M&A, tax equity, and debt financing transactions
• Advise on project operations, including offtake contracts, compliance, and disputes
• Navigate a broad regulatory landscape (FERC, NERC, environmental permitting, etc.)
• Manage corporate legal matters, including vendor agreements and governance
• Coordinate with external counsel and internal teams across development, finance, and ops

What You’ll Bring:

• 3–5 years of experience (law firm or in-house), ideally within the energy sector
• Familiarity with utility scale projects (renewables or broader power generation)
• Strong commercial instincts, excellent drafting skills, and an ability to simplify complexity
• A collaborative mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
