Billing Specialist (Entry-Level)- Long Term Contract- Pay up to $23/HR

Position Overview:

Beacon Hill is seeking an entry-level Billing Specialist to join a busy accounting team for a client of ours in the Mendota Heights area. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, reviewing billing details, and supporting both internal teams and customers with billing-related inquiries. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in accounting or finance, with training provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and edit daily invoice registers to ensure accurate pricing, project details, and sales tax application

Generate customer invoices and credit memos in a timely and accurate manner

Support month-end close processes by working closely with accounting and operations teams

Respond to customer inquiries related to invoices and account statements

Assist with research on past due balances and short payments in collaboration with the credit/cash applications team

Partner with internal teams including operations and sales to ensure accurate billing processes

Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

Previous billing or accounting-related experience is a plus, but not required

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and solve routine problems

Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

Technical Skills:
