APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Wayne County looking to add a Sales Director to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to lead the sales team, grow business, and build strong customer relationships in the aluminum manufacturing industry. Keep reading for more details!

What your day will look like:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Outside Sales Representatives. 
• Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives focused on revenue growth and market expansion. 
• Build strong relationships with OEMs, Tier suppliers, and manufacturing customers. 
• Manage highly technical sales opportunities requiring a consultative, engineering-based approach. 
• Forecast sales activity and accurately manage both short- and long-term sales pipelines. 
• Establish and implement CRM best practices utilizing Odoo, leading the company's initial CRM adoption efforts. 
• Partner closely with engineering, operations, and executive leadership to ensure customer requirements are met. 
• Evaluate current sales structure and identify opportunities for organizational development and team growth. 
• Analyze market trends, customer demand, and competitive activity to support business planning. 
• Comfortable with managing client’s social media presence on LinkedIn
• Travel approximately 20-40% to customer locations and industry events.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will also be considered. 
• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in technical sales within the aluminum manufacturing industry.
• Previous leadership experience managing sales teams. 
• Engineering or highly technical sales experience is required. 
• Proven ability to develop accurate sales forecasts and manage complex sales pipelines. 
• Experience implementing or managing CRM systems is strongly preferred (Odoo experience is a plus). 
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
