Intellectual Disability - Advanced Direct Support Professional

About the Role Keystone Human Services is currently seeking Advanced Direct Support Professionals to join our team in providing individualized, person-directed support in the areas of intellectual disabilities, mental health, and autism. Our work focuses on inclusion and building communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and fully participate in everything society has to offer. Responsibilities Support adults by creating a healthy and engaging home setting Teach and assist with daily living skills Assist with personal care Advocate for the health and wellness of the people we support Administer medications and perform delegated nursing tasks under the supervision of a nurse Monitor health conditions and respond to emergencies following protocols and implementing behavior support plans Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent One (1) year work experience supporting individuals with either challenging medical needs and/or behaviors or dual diagnosis of intellectual disability and mental health Effective communication and proficient computer skills Successfully complete and maintain all required certifications and training mandated by regulations and additional specialized medical and/or behavioral health trainings necessary Valid driver’s license and, depending on work location, may be required to have daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including clearances and verifications Benefits Medical Dental Vision Paid time off 401(k) Career advancement Tuition reimbursement Wellness programs More Employment Details Full time, Part time, and Casual positions available. Compensation: $22.25 per hour.
