Microbiologist
$23 - $27 per hourEurofins Agroscience Services North Carolina
Eurofins seeks a Microbiologist to support genetic toxicology and pathogenicity testing using bacterial systems and standard microbiological techniques. The role involves conducting experiments, maintaining laboratory records, training staff, and contributing to assay development and regulatory documentation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct genetic toxicology testing including Ames assays and bacterial pathogenicity evaluation
- Set up and perform experiments following protocols and standard operating procedures
- Culture, enumerate, and assess growth of infectious bacterial pathogens
- Maintain precise experimental records in compliance with good laboratory practices
- Assist in writing, reviewing, and editing reports, protocols, and documentation for regulatory submissions
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in microbiology, toxicology, animal science, or biology
- Three to five years of experience with standard microbiology methods and procedures
- Computer proficiency and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to safely wear a respirator
- Current tetanus vaccination
- Detail-oriented with excellent written and oral communication abilities
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
Compensation: $23-$27 per hour
