Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Life Line, you will:

• Manage a caseload of clients, establishing rapport and fostering positive therapeutic relationships while adhering to professional ethical standards and boundaries.

• Conduct regular sessions with clients to evaluate their progress, ensure stability, and discuss future appointments, including discharge planning where appropriate.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate person-centered treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of your clients.

• Maintain meticulous documentation, including comprehensive progress notes and treatment updates for each client to ensure continuity and quality of care.

• Perform intake assessments to identify client needs and inform treatment strategies.
\n
• Lead individual therapy sessions on a weekly basis, utilizing evidence-based practices.

• Engage in individual supervision to enhance clinical skills and professional development.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with youth clients who may be facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in mental health counseling or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia.

• Ability to meet internal credentialing requirements for clinical practice.

• Minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients or substance abuse populations.
\n
• Experience with assessment, diagnosis, and conducting individual and group therapy sessions.

• Proficiency in using computer systems for documentation, including electronic health records and basic keyboarding skills.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, candidates with previous experience working in outpatient mental health settings or community-based programs will be preferred. Expertise in therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is advantageous.
