Title
Neuro Telemetry Registered Nurse - Neuroscience

Schedule
Weekends: Yes - every other weekend

Requirements
- Valid state license required
- Minimum 1 year RN experience required
- Neuro experience required (post-op neurosurgery and varied neurology diagnoses)
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
- Proficiency with NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Experience with telemetry, post-op neurosurgical patient care, stroke/CVA care, and management of dysrhythmias

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a designated stroke unit.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, managing any dysrhythmias.
- Deliver care to post-operative neurosurgery patients, including those who have undergone craniotomy.
- Manage care for stroke and CVA patients, including those requiring thrombectomy procedures.
- Provide care for patients with traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries.
- Administer BI-PAP and CPAP as well as manage chest tubes and procedural sedation monitoring.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 specified holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Background checks do not accept Nursys or background hits.
- Local rule: 50-mile radius; can only be subbed to one facility at a time.
