OR1 Project Buyer

Project Buyer – OR1The Project Buyer is responsible for sourcing, supplier management, and procurement activities supporting new product development and engineering projects. This role partners closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to identify and qualify suppliers, negotiate contracts, manage purchasing activities, and drive cost-saving initiatives while ensuring materials and services meet project timelines, quality standards, and business objectives. The Project Buyer also supports supplier onboarding, make-versus-buy decisions, new product introductions, and procurement-related change management activities.Key Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience3+ years of purchasing, sourcing, procurement, or buyer experienceStrong SAP or ERP/MRP system experienceExperience negotiating supplier agreements and managing vendor relationshipsAbility to support technical sourcing activities in a manufacturing or engineering environmentStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications:5+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experienceManufacturing, medical device, or engineering industry experienceExperience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) projectsExperience conducting supplier cost analysis and make-versus-buy evaluationsWhy KARL STORZ?Join a global leader in medical technology known for innovation, quality, and advancing patient care.
