Junior Estimator — New York City

We're working with a specialist foundations subcontractor in NYC who's hiring a Junior Estimator to join their preconstruction team. They deliver drilling, piling, foundations, and support of excavation (SOE) work across commercial and residential projects throughout the city. This is a ground-up career role — you'll learn deep foundation and shoring estimating from senior estimators who price this work every day. What you re'll do Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, geotechnical reports, and specs Support senior estimators on piling, drilled shaft, and SOE bid packages (soldier pile and lagging, sheeting, tiebacks, underpinning) Help price drilling, deep foundation, and shoring scopes Solicit and level supplier and vendor quotes (rebar, concrete, steel, equipment) Assemble bid packages, track addenda, and maintain historical cost data Attend site walks and pre-bid meetings What you need 0–3 years of estimating or construction experience (recent grads welcome) Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field — or equivalent field experience Comfortable reading construction drawings, specs, and ideally geotechnical reports Interest in heavy civil, foundations, or geotechnical work Proficiency in Excel; exposure to On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, or similar is a plus Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Based in or commutable to NYC #J-18808-Ljbffr Construction Irish - USA
