Mass General Brigham Department of Emergency Medicine Weekend Nocturnist Physician The Department of Emergency Medicine at Mass General Brigham (MGB) is seeking candidates for a full-time weekend nocturnist faculty position. Candidates must have a commitment to excellence in clinical care and teaching; academic appointment will be at Harvard Medical School at the Instructor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. Clinical sites may include Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), and Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital (BWFH). MGB EM is the home of the 4-year MGH/BWH Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency Program. The MGH ED is a high volume, high acuity level 1 adult and pediatric trauma and burn center caring for over 120,000 patients annually. The BWH ED is a high volume, high acuity level 1 adult trauma center caring for over 65,000 patients annually. The BWFH ED is a closely affiliated community site with approximately 40,000 patient visits per year. The successful candidate will join a faculty of over 120 academic emergency physicians in a department with active research and teaching programs as well as fellowship programs in administration, research, ultrasonography, medical education, geriatrics, wilderness medicine, and disaster medicine, among others. The Weekend Nocturnist position will involve working overnight shifts primarily on weekends (Fri-Sun) but not exclusively on weekends. Joshua J.
