Inside Sales Account Manager

As a trusted partner in the industrial supply chain, this company is known for its commitment to service, responsiveness, and deep technical product knowledge, enabling customers to reduce downtime, improve procurement efficiency, and streamline operations Position Overview This is a high-impact role where you’ll manage and expand a book of business while partnering closely with outside sales and operations. You’d be at the center of the action quarterbacking customer relationships, driving quoting and order execution, and identifying opportunities to grow accounts through a consultative, solutions-based approach. Key Responsibilities Manage and grow assigned customer accounts Identify upselling, cross-selling, and account expansion opportunities Prepare quotes, process orders, and respond to RFQs Support Outside Sales with territory and strategic account development Understand customer applications, inventory needs, and purchasing patterns Coordinate with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Logistics teams Support VMI, integrated supply, and in-plant programs Monitor open orders, inventory availability, and delivery timelines Maintain accurate customer and sales activity in CRM and ERP systems Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally Qualifications Three or more years of inside sales, account management, customer service, or sales support experience Industrial distribution, manufacturing, OEM, fastener, or MRO experience preferred Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities Experience with CRM or ERP systems such as Salesforce or Prophet 21 Customer-focused, proactive, and solution-oriented approach Vendor Managed Inventory, integrated supply, or Class C component program experience a plus Experience supporting outside sales teams within a territory-based sales model a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr Tuckerman Consulting
