Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Oversee aspects of the nursing department, including staff management and patient care
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff
• Ensure adherence to resident rights and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff to promote a positive work environment

Requirements:

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice with previous DON or ADON experience.
• Rehabilitation focus, wound care experience, knowledge of Medicare A & B, willing to work with behavior management residents
• Enjoy working with the elderly, MDS/care plans, willing to work 2 weeks a month, previous CNA/CMT instructor certification and have excellent regulatory compliance record and commitments to TQM (Total Quality Management)
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor staff Familiarity with healthcare systems and regulations, including HIPAA compliance
