Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm)You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Primary point of contact for Account Management in their interactions with the Prior Authorization Operations DepartmentPrimary point of clinical contact for Clinical Account Management in their interface with the client regarding: clinical criteria development; clinical decision - making rationale; facilitate the fulfillment of member PAs (as needed) to ensure timely resolution of issues (this may include interaction with MDO staff and pharmacies to identify key issuesDrive business analysis and interactions with PA Research and Resolution group to proactively identify potential client issues as they pertain to PA Operations and client responsibilities (e.g. compliance, process / workflow, quality, PG)Direct and control tasks for troubleshooting client implementation, client system builds, and client relationsDrive the streamlining of business operations in the Prior Authorizations department to resolve client issues, taking into account current workflow processes and staffing / telecom logisticsProvide training to Account Management and clients regarding PA services through discussion of technical and operational workflowsDrive and communicate the development of policies / procedures, establishment of standards, and monitoring / reporting - to ensure that PA Operations fulfills compliance and PG requirements; offers high client / member satisfaction measured via NPS surveysProvide training to and oversight of PA department personnel (as needed) regarding client issues and needsYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmDCurrent and unrestricted Pharmacist license (any state)3+ years of experience as a Licensed Pharmacist, with at least 1 year within Formulary/UM Operations or Benefits Administration2+ years of Clinical Account Management experience within a PBM or similar client-facing experienceExperience developing and delivering formal presentationsKnowledge and understanding of the Prior Authorization processProficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookAbility to travel up to 10% (post Covid restrictions) Preferred Qualifications:2+ years of Prior Authorization experienceSupervisory / leadership experienceKnowledge of UM and criteria building processExperience using PASProficiency using VisioExperience using RxClaims or similar claims adjudication systemUnitedHealth Group requires all new hires and employees to report their COVID-19 vaccination status.Careers with OptumRx.
