Duties

Help

• You will serve as a senior professional and technical advisor to the Regional Security Operations Program Manager and Force Protection Director on all Security issues within the region.
• You will review Regional Security training, education and security programs, and assess installation compliance with Regional and Higher Headquarters requirements.
• You will develop corrective action plans to ensure all activities maintain the highest degree of Fore Protection readiness.
• You will provide technical and operational support to installations and commands on Force Protection assessments and policy/procedural development.

• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

1) Making decisions to resolve conflicts in Force Protection objectives;

2) Analyzing, assessing, and improving programs in all security disciplines that affect policies/procedures;

3) Applying new theories and concepts in developing new Force Protection execution and training;

4) Applying comprehensive knowledge of Force Protection policy, procedure, requirements, and functions.

*This position has been designated as a Security Professional Educational Development (SPeD) position. A SPeD certification is a condition of employment and required to be obtained within 24 months of assuming the position and must be maintained through the entire length of appointment.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
