Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides technical nursing care to residents in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). The LVN is responsible for delivering appropriate nursing care, performing therapeutic procedures, and may assume the charge nurse role. This role requires adherence to nursing processes and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

• Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in inpatient medical-surgical or long-term care settings.
• Ability to perform nursing assessments and therapeutic procedures appropriately.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Experience in emergency or critical care environments.
• Comfort and proficiency working with ventilators, tracheostomies, and PICC lines.
• Two years or more of direct patient care experience.

• Role may require assuming charge nurse responsibilities within the Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Work environment involves care for residents requiring skilled nursing in a long-term care setting.

• Work schedule typically includes shifts assigned based on facility needs; may include day, evening, or night shifts.
• Shift patterns and assignments are determined by management to ensure continuous patient care coverage.
