Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Healthcare Customer Service Representative for an established durable medical equipment (DME) provider . This is a full-time onsite opportunity in Springfield, Missouri.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our client is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Customer Service Representative to support pediatric patients and their caregivers throughout the medical equipment ordering process. This role combines inbound and outbound customer service, insurance verification, order processing, and patient follow‑up while ensuring a positive and seamless customer experience. RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide exceptional customer service through inbound and outbound calls, assisting patients, caregivers, and healthcare partners with medical equipment orders and service needs. Process patient orders, verify insurance eligibility, maintain accurate documentation, and update patient information within company systems. Conduct follow‑up calls regarding supply needs, order status, patient satisfaction, and ongoing services. Resolve customer concerns with empathy and professionalism while maintaining HIPAA compliance and protecting confidential information. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely order fulfillment and a seamless patient experience. Support additional administrative and customer service functions as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Customer service experience within healthcare, durable medical equipment (DME), medical offices, hospitals, insurance, or another patient‑facing environment preferred. Brightree experience is highly preferred. Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to de‑escalate challenging situations while providing compassionate, patient‑centered service. Proficiency using computer systems and documenting customer interactions accurately.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

$19-$20/hour , depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, ongoing training, and opportunities for career advancement.
