Facility: Work from Home - Fully Remote - Ohio Department: HIM - Hospital Coding Schedule: Full time Hours: 40 Job Details Under the general supervision of the Coding Supervisor, the Outpatient Coder supports Dayton Children’s reimbursement goals through accurate and timely diagnosis and procedural coding for emergency department, specialty clinic, inpatient, observation, and outpatient ancillary services. Responsibilities Reviewing and interpreting electronic medical documentation to assign and report appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes for clean claim submission. Education High school diploma or GED is required Associate's degree or higher is preferred Experience 2+ years coding experience (preferred) Certifications CCS – Certified Coding Specialist CCS-P – Certified Coding Specialist, Physician-based RHIA – Registered Health Information Administrator RHIT – Registered Health Information Technician CPC – Certified Professional Coder CIMC - Certified Internal Medicine Coder #J-18808-Ljbffr
