Senior Product Counsel – Fintech & Payments Location: Hybrid – NYC Salary: $250K-$350K Skills: Product Counsel, Fintech, Payments, BaaS About the Company / The Opportunity: We are a rapidly growing fintech company developing innovative financial products and technology solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with business and product teams on complex legal matters in a highly regulated environment. The ideal candidate is a business‑minded attorney who enjoys solving complex regulatory challenges, building scalable legal frameworks, and helping teams move quickly while managing risk. Responsibilities: Serve as legal partner to product and engineering teams throughout the entire product lifecycle. Advise on product strategy and regulatory considerations impacting financial technology solutions. Advise on banking partnerships, payment solutions, financial infrastructure, and related commercial agreements. Draft, negotiate, and manage agreements related to financial products, payment solutions, technology platforms, and strategic partnerships. Advise on regulatory matters, including BSA/AML, money transmission requirements, partner bank obligations, and evolving fintech regulations. Build scalable legal processes, templates, and frameworks that enable business growth while mitigating risk. Educate internal teams on legal, regulatory, and product‑related considerations. Must‑Have Skills: Juris Doctor degree Active bar membership in good standing. 5–10 years of legal experience, including significant experience within fintech, payments, or financial services. Experience with Banking‑as‑a‑Service (BaaS), payment infrastructure, or similar financial products. Significant product counseling experience supporting technology and financial products. Nice‑to‑Have Skills: Experience supporting complex financial products, marketplaces, or regulated technology platforms. Familiarity with securities laws. Background working with early‑stage or high‑growth technology companies. Experience building legal processes and frameworks from the ground up. #J-18808-Ljbffr Talently
