Responsibilities Plan, implement, and supervise recreational activities and programs for children, including indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, holiday‑themed projects, snack time, and homework support. Supervise and provide guidance to other programming staff, including Leaders and Aides. Order supplies, manage program budgets, and ensure adherence to safety compliance standards. Develop or follow established curriculum plans and facilitate group activities that meet the needs of the children. Create a welcoming and safe environment, including performing daily health checks, handling food service items, and executing emergency procedures. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Nursing, Recreation, or a related child‑focused field. At least one year of program experience supervising children or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in a related field. Six months of program experience supervising children. Bilingual skills. Background and Certification Requirements Pre‑employment, criminal, and fingerprinting background checks. First Aid (Infant through Adult)/CPR certification prior to hire or within 30 days of hire. Pass TB screening prior to hire and every two years thereafter. Completion of a sworn disclosure statement or affirmation regarding criminal convictions or pending charges upon hire and every five years thereafter. Locations: Positions are available at various sites in Loudoun County. Applicants must be willing to work at multiple programming sites as listed in the supplemental questions of the application. The CASA program operates Monday‑Friday, 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.; the YAS program operates Monday‑Friday, 3:15 p.m. – 6:15 p.m., following Loudoun County's Public Schools' academic (10‑month) year calendar. #J-18808-Ljbffr Loudoun County Government
