Program Director - Homeless Shelter

Program Director Homeless Services - Families with Children Brooklyn, NY Salary Range: 92k - 100k Summary Oversee the daily operational and social services management of the shelter site. This position will ensure the delivery of quality services to all clients on a 24-hour basis as per the approved DHS policies, procedures, and standards. Responsibilities Vetting, training, oversight of daily operations and contract compliance or reporting for shelter Collaborate with Senior Leadership to vet, credential, equip/supply, and conduct training for all shelter personnel in providing exceptional shelter support that is culturally competent for all guests Flexible hours are required – with the need for 24/7 emergency availability rotating with team members Improve programs and processes to build systems of finding permanent housing Maintain standards of HIPAA compliance with all client communications Maintain a high level of industry knowledge and keep us up to date with changes required/recommended in the shelter operations. Ensure that charts and recording systems meet proper service control and standards, including DHS, OTDA and other regulatory agencies. Qualifications Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Social Work, Psychology, Human Service or related field with DHS experience for Tier 2 and migrant site experiences Minimum five years’ experience in supervision or management · Minimum five years’ experience in a residential agency or DHS licensed facility.
