Staff Accountant I Corporate

About This Role <\/b> This position supports SecurTec's Finance and Accounting function from our West Palm Beach corporate headquarters. The Staff Accountant I plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records and reporting.

Position Summary <\/b> The Staff Accountant I is responsible for performing day -to -day general accounting activities, including bookkeeping, payroll support, account reconciliations, and month -end close procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for an early -career accounting professional to gain broad exposure across the full accounting cycle while contributing to a growing company.

Key Responsibilities <\/b>
<\/p>

• Perform general bookkeeping, including recording and posting journal entries
  <\/li>
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions
  <\/li>
• Support payroll processing, including review, reconciliation, and related journal entries
  <\/li>
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
  <\/li>
• Assist with the month -end and year -end close process, including accruals and adjusting entries
  <\/li>
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as needed
  <\/li>
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for internal and external audits
  <\/li>
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports
  <\/li>
• Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls
  <\/li>
• Support the broader Finance team with ad hoc projects and analysis
  <\/li><\/ul>

  Location <\/b> This is a full -time, in -office position at SecurTec's corporate headquarters in West Palm Beach, FL. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, daytime.

  Required Qualifications <\/b>
  <\/p>

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
    <\/li>
  • 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience
    <\/li>
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting principles
    <\/li>
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
    <\/li>
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    <\/li>
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast -paced environment
    <\/li>
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    <\/li>
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion
    <\/li>
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
    <\/li><\/ul>

    Preferred Qualifications <\/b>
    <\/p>

    • Experience with month -end close in a corporate or multi -entity environment
      <\/li>
    • Exposure to payroll processing and reconciliation
      <\/li>
    • Coursework or progress toward CPA licensure
