Phlebotomist II Site Lead – Miami, FL Hours : Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM, rotational weekends. Pay $22.36+ per hour. Salary based on experience, education and certifications; annual performance bonus possible. The PSR II‑Site Lead draws quality blood samples, prepares specimens for lab testing, and creates a trusting environment while explaining procedures. Responsibilities Collect specimens (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams, etc.) following established procedures. Administer oral solutions per training. Research test/client information and verify all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems. Complete accurate data entry, including patient registration, order entry, and standing orders. Enter billing information and collect payments when required, safeguarding assets and credit card data. Process specimens (label, centrifuge, split, freeze) as required by test order. Perform clerical duties (inventory, stocking supplies, answering phones) as assigned. Read and comply with departmental policies, safety, and quality manuals; ensure staff follows instructions. Verify patient demographic information and patient signatures post‑venipuncture. Assist with monthly statistical data compilation and submission. Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance, temperature) timely. Complete training courses and stay current with the latest techniques. Travel to Territory Manager meetings if held off‑site. Participate in special projects and teams. Stay up to date on company communications; distribute technical information to the work group. Perform point‑of‑care testing where needed and complete training/competency evaluations per SOP. Act as mentor/resource for new employees, assisting transition into PSC work environment. Assist with inventory counts, report shortages, and problems to supervisor. Assist with schedule preparation for the assigned workgroup or PSCs. Communicate professionally with clients to resolve or refer; document problems and report critical issues. Ensure staff follows safety precautions (lab coat, gloves, face shield). Assist supervisors with SOP implementation for phlebotomy services per Quest guidelines. Maintain facilities neat, clean, and in good repair; report required repairs/maintenance. Act as coach, mentor, instructor, and resource advisor for new employees; serve as point of contact on site. Qualifications Required Work Experience Three years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Keyboard/data entry experience. Flexible and available for staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on‑call and overtime. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, clean driving record (if applicable). Travel flexibility for multiple locations; cover Patient Service Center, mobile, long‑term care, and in‑office phlebotomy with minimal notice. Preferred Work Experience Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment. Customer service experience in retail or service environment. Physical and Mental Requirements Lift 1–15 lbs frequently; 16–25 lbs occasionally; 26–40 lbs seldom; >41 lbs requires assistance. Sit or stand for long periods; requires eye and hand coordination. Perform repetitive tasks with dominant hand throughout the day. Travel required. Extensive use of phone and PC. Fine dexterity with hands and steadiness. Talking, walking, balancing, bending/kneeling, pushing/pulling, reaching/twisting.
