Title: Call Center Representative

Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15275

Pay: $16.00 per hour during initial assignment; $17.50 per hour upon conversion to permanent employment

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week; training Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. Start date is 11/16, regular shift begins 12/1, with several shift options scheduled between the hours of 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Employment Type: W2 Temp-to-hire Assignment with plans to convert successful candidates to permanent, full-time positions after approximately 3–4 months, based on business needs and performance

Position Summary

This entry-level Call Center Representative position is a great opportunity for someone with customer service experience who enjoys speaking with people and helping resolve questions or concerns. You’ll make outbound calls to patients to discuss their prescriptions, encourage refills, and understand why they may not have filled a prescription. Most of the work involves outbound outreach, with some inbound return calls as needed. Candidates from a variety of backgrounds are encouraged to apply, and previous healthcare or pharmacy experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to patients regarding prescription refills and medication access.
• Ask questions to understand why patients have not filled or refilled their prescriptions.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service and help address patient questions.
• Document call outcomes and update information accurately in computer systems.
• Navigate multiple computer applications while communicating with patients.
• Use Microsoft Office and other computer tools as needed.
• Handle occasional inbound or returned calls and follow up when necessary.

Requirements

• Previous customer service or call center experience is preferred.
• Friendly, professional communication skills and a willingness to speak with patients over the phone.
• Basic computer skills, including navigating multiple applications and using Microsoft Office.
• Ability to document information accurately while managing calls.
• Strong attendance, a willingness to learn, and the ability to follow established procedures.
• Pharmacy, healthcare, medical office, or insurance experience is a plus but not required.
• Entry-level candidates with transferable customer service skills are encouraged to apply.

Training and Work Environment

• Training is Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
• The regular work schedule begins December 1, with shifts falling between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
• Onsite work in Pittsburgh, PA, with an assigned cubicle and individual workspace.

Pay and Conversion Opportunity

The initial assignment pays $16.00 per hour. The employer intends to convert successful employees to permanent full-time positions after approximately three to four months, depending on business needs and performance. Upon conversion, the pay rate increases to $17.50 per hour, and benefits become available.

Holiday Schedule

Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day are unpaid holidays.
