Sterile Processing Aide

Summary Hours: 12:00pm - 8:30pm. The position runs Monday through Friday with no weekends or call required. Responsible for the delivery of Case Carts and Endoscopes to specific locations within the hospital. Responsible for inventory counts of OR peel pouches. Essential Functions Performs safe, effective, and compliant transport of instrumentation and endoscopes throughout the hospital. Performs inventory counts of OR peel pouches. Assists with unloading washer/disinfectors. Assists with departmental cleaning practices. Acts as part of an interdepartmental perioperative team, including effective communication and collaboration with teammates. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Experience Central Sterile work experience 0-1 year preferred and work experience with Inventory Control Systems 0-1 year preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Understands and follows all I C.A.R.E. Standards. Able to work independently. Works as a "Team" member. Basic computer skills required.
