Stand-Up Forklift Operator / Warehouse Loader

Job Description

This role operates a stand-up forklift to safely and efficiently move, load, and unload products and materials in a busy warehouse environment. You support daily shipping, receiving, and inventory activities while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and organization.

Responsibilities

• Operate a stand-up forklift safely and efficiently to move products and materials throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload trucks while ensuring order accuracy and minimizing product damage.
• Stage, organize, and prepare customer orders for shipment according to schedules and instructions.
• Transport materials between warehouse locations and designated storage areas in a timely manner.
• Utilize RF scanners, pick tickets, or inventory systems to locate, pick, and track inventory as needed.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by following proper material handling and storage procedures.
• Perform general warehouse duties including palletizing, wrapping, labeling, and housekeeping tasks.
• Inspect forklifts and related equipment daily and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations at all times.
• Assist with additional warehouse tasks and projects as assigned to support overall operations.

Essential Skills

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Minimum 1 year of stand-up forklift experience preferred, with proven ability to operate safely and efficiently.
• Experience with loading, unloading, and material handling in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to use RF scanners, pick tickets, or inventory systems to support inventory control.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
• Effective teamwork skills and willingness to assist across different warehouse functions.
• Basic understanding of safety practices and OSHA-related warehouse safety guidelines.

Work Environment

This position operates in a warehouse environment on a first shift schedule, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You spend most of the day on your feet, operating a stand-up forklift and performing physical tasks such as loading, unloading, palletizing, wrapping, and organizing materials. The role involves working around moving equipment and trucks, following safety procedures, and using RF scanners, pick tickets, and inventory systems as part of daily operations.

This is a Contract position based out of Sylmar, CA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Sylmar,CA.
