Embark on a contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher, supporting students and staff during a leave coverage period from September 15, 2026, through October 27, 2026. Located in the vibrant Bristol area, this onsite role offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in a supportive school setting. Your expertise as a Special Education Teacher will be instrumental in fostering academic success and providing individualized support to students with diverse learning needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Connecticut Special Education (SPED) Teacher License, with all required certifications
- Previous experience in Special Education settings preferred
- Ability to adapt instruction for students with a range of abilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with staff, students, and families
- Dedication to providing inclusive, supportive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and implement IEPs for students with special needs in an onsite setting
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and related service providers
- Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation as per school and state guidelines
- Communicate consistently with families to ensure optimal student support
- Uphold district and special education compliance throughout the assignment
