**Join Our Team as a Pathologist Assistant!** **Job Description:** - Position: Pathologist Assistant I - Specialty: Anatomic Pathology - Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30) - Experience: Minimum of 3 years required, travel experience necessary - Charting System: Epic **Responsibilities:** - Perform gross examination and dissection of large and complex specimens - Perform gross examination and dissection of small biopsies - Prepare tissues for histological processing - Section surgical pathology specimens - Ensure proper specimen fixation, receipt, and labeling - Conduct post-mortem examinations and evisceration - Prepare tissue samples and facilitate tissue sampling for microscopic examination - Conduct tumor triage and obtain/review patient clinical information (e.g., scans, X-rays, lab results) - Engage in autopsy pathology for adults and fetuses **Preferred Skills & Certifications:** - ASCP - PA certification - Experience with specimen accessioning - Proficiency in cutting and staining frozen sections - Expertise in gross/microscopic photography - Completion of a Master’s degree is preferred **What's in It for You:** - Work in a dynamic hospital clinical laboratory setting - Opportunity to collaborate with a skilled team of professionals - Engage in meaningful work that contributes to patient care - Enjoy a structured orientation program (8 hours) **Work Environment:** - No call, float, or weekend requirements - Scrubs: Caribbean Blue **Interview Availability:** - Please provide your availability for interviews within the next 72 hours. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
