This role in summaryWhirlpool is seeking qualified candidates to join our Global Strategic Sourcing, as a Senior Buyer, Global Strategic Sourcing - Ground Transportation (Senior Analyst, Procurement). The role is located in Benton Harbor, Michigan.Whirlpool manages Indirect Procurement as a regional function for North America and is based out of our North American Region (NAR) Headquarters. The Indirect Procurement team manages purchases of indirect materials and services required to design, manufacture, distribute and advertise our products, supporting most functional areas throughout the company.In this role, you will have accountability for the Ground Transportation subcategories for North America (US and Canada) and manage approximately ~$375M in annual spend. This position will engage cross-functional stakeholders and utilize effective Supplier Relationship Management techniques to enhance commercial and operational performance. Your responsibilities will includeProvide strategic and operational leadership for ~$220M annual category spend, supporting Whirlpool’s North America Region manufacturing plants and distribution networkDeveloping and implementing the sourcing strategy for the Final Mile subcategoryLead fact-based sourcing decisions, negotiate commercial terms, and generate contractual agreements with the supply baseDrive supplier performance management and build commercial relationshipsCreate, measure, and execute initiatives that optimize cost, quality, and serviceBuild cross-functional partnerships across the business and engage Final Mile Operations to generate, and execute solutions to improve Whirlpool Corporation's operational and cost performanceEnsure compliance with Global Procurement policies, procedures, and processesDrive continuous improvement of processes related to the sourcing of Final Mile services including, but not limited to contract management, financial forecasting, and supplier performance managementMinimum requirementsBachelor’s Degree4+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement or supply chainPreferred skills and experiencesBachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business or EngineeringDemonstrated practical use of supplier management and sourcing principlesProven communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and management skillsStrong analytical and computer related skillsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple key activitiesAbility to quickly build strong rapport and relationships with internal process partners and suppliersAbility to grow in your technical abilities to become a subject matter expertWhat we offerGenerous benefits package, Whirlpool employee discount, fitness & educational reimbursement programs, kitchenettes, and more!
